We are at the heart of Westport’s coastal waters, our mission is to cultivate premium oysters while nurturing strong, lasting relationships with our community. We’re dedicated to providing fresh, locally grown shellfish to our neighbors, restaurants, and families—fostering a sustainable, people-first business rooted in trust, taste, and tradition. Spindrift Oysters has been in operation since 2015.
At Spindrift Oysters, we harvest all-year long. You can enjoy a farm fresh oyster at your events through-out the year. Conditions can get harsh, but picking through winter storms, carving through ice to get to the farm - adds a little excitement to the journey from Farm to Table.
The process starts as seed; they grow on the farm for 12-18 months. Oysters are great for the local ecosystem; did you know a single adult oyster can clean up to 50-gallons of water each day? Owner, Toph Jusseaume, also grew up in Westport. Working in this community, hiring and selling locally are all very important to our mission.
